Objectives :

By the end of this course, the student will be able to:

• Understand the concept of Orthophonics by identifying its basic terms and the most important stages it has gone through from its creation to its arrival in Algeria.
• Comprehend the fields and sciences related to Orthophonics by addressing the language disorders it detects, diagnoses, and treats, and the multiple sciences that Orthophonics relies on during practice.
• Specify the tasks and practice settings of an orthophonist by discussing the roles that the specialist in Orthophonics plays and the places where they can perform their functions.
• Ensure that students have a sufficient understanding of the specialty of Orthophonics and its practical applications.
