The course, Informatique 1, provides a foundational understanding of computer science principles while introducing students to essential productivity tools used in professional and academic environments.

The course is divided into four main components:

1- Introduction to Computer Science: Students are introduced to the fundamental concepts of computer science, including  an overview of how computers process information.

2- Mastering Microsoft Office Tools:

  • MS-Excel: Students learn the most common functions of Excel, such as data entry, formatting, basic formulas (e.g., SUM, AVERAGE, IF), and data visualization through charts and graphs. Emphasis is placed on practical applications for data analysis and organization.
  • MS-Word: The course covers the basics of document creation, formatting, and editing.
  • MS-PowerPoint: This module introduces students to creating and designing presentations. Topics include slide layout, animations, transitions, and best practices for delivering engaging presentations.
By the end of the course, students will have a solid foundation in computer science concepts and practical skills in using Microsoft Office tools, enabling them to efficiently handle academic and professional tasks. This course is designed to be hands-on, with a focus on real-world applications and problem-solving.
